Starting Times
Players should report to the starter 15 minutes prior to tee time.
Players who arrive within 5 minutes after their starting time will be assessed a two-stroke penalty. Players who arrive more than 5 minutes after their starting time will be disqualified from the tournament, but will be allowed to play golf that day. (USGA Rule 6-3)
Pace of Play
Rule 6-7 USGA Rules of Golf: The player shall play without undue delay. Undue delay is having more than one hole open in front of a group. If a group is playing too slowly, it will be warned. If a group does not catch up, each member may be assessed a two stroke penalty. If the group still does not catch up, any and all players may be disqualified from the tournament. It is the entire groups responsibility to keep its place directly behind the group in front of you.
Players should practice good habits for speedy play, such as:
Walk quickly to your ball.
Be ready when it is your turn to hit.
One practice swing per shot.
Due to varying facility rules and regulations, players must carry their own bag. Pull carts will not be permitted.
Awards and Prizes
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division. Ties will be broken with a match of cards beginning with the last 9 holes, then the last 6, then the last 3, and finally the 18th hole. Players may have (1) hole with 9 strokes or more, however players must X out after 9 strokes on subsequent holes. Scores without Xs will place ahead of a played out round.
